Ryan has been going through MAP testing this week as school. The first day he came home and told us he was the last one done - I tried to convince him that was ok, they said to take as long as you wanted and that it gives you harder questions if you did well. Second day same thing. Fourth day - "MAP testing was so much fun today. I got to move balls between bowls and take someone clothes off." That got our attention - apparently, you count the number of items of clothing and remove however many they told you to (it's on a computer, no children are harmed and I'm guessing there are more than enough items of clothing so some are never removed....)
We got an email from his teacher. He scored really well on the reading portion so she's going to allow him to do Accelerated reading based on his Lexile score. He'll take a computer quiz on the book and can go to the prize box if he does well. He thinks this is great. (She kept him after class to tell him about it.)
